Bio:

Laurie McGarry Klose, PhD, is a clinical associate professor of school psychology at Baylor University’s Dallas campus. She earned her BA in Psychology from Baylor and her PhD in School Psychology from UC Berkeley. Her career began in California, followed by roles as a school psychologist in Massachusetts and Texas. Dr. Klose has held academic positions at Texas State University, Trinity University, and now Baylor, where she continues her passion for teaching. She has also provided advocacy services for families and professional development for educators nationwide. A dedicated leader in the field, she has served in multiple roles within the Texas Association of School Psychologists and the National Association of School Psychologists, including NASP President (2021–22) and Chair of the NASP Ethics and Professional Practices Board. Her professional journey reflects a deep commitment to ethics, advocacy, and training future school psychologists.
