Scroll To Bottom To Purchase

Description:

This webinar builds on Part 1 by providing school psychologists with a deeper look at how to assess and support reading difficulties related to executive functioning in school settings. Dr. George McCloskey uses an integrative model of reading to demonstrate how a range of reading and executive function processes can be assessed and interpreted together. Participants will learn how to evaluate multiple components of reading, including decoding, fluency, and comprehension, while also considering the role of executive control in performance. The session then highlights the effectiveness of consistent practice and repetition in reading, with an emphasis on connected text and feedback. Using detailed case examples, Dr. McCloskey illustrates how targeted reading interventions can lead to meaningful improvements in student performance over time. Attendees will leave with practical strategies and a clearer framework for linking assessment data to effective reading intervention.

Released in March 2026, this individual webinar can be purchased for $25 (scroll down to purchase). The content in this webinar is intertwined with Domains 1, 3, and 4 of the NASP Practice Model. Attendees who complete this 1.5-hour webinar will receive 1.5 NASP-Approved CPD credits.
